This isn't a gun debate, but...

A gun death might be decreased, but death by some other method will go up. The truth is, mentally ill people will use whatever is at their disposal to harm others if that's their intent. If not a gun, it will be a machete, or knife, or baseball bat, or poison, or their hands around someone's neck. It's not the instrument that kills. It's the person. No gun ever stood up on its own accord, took aim, and shot someone.

Using the above logic, if a man rapes a woman, should we consider all penises bad? Should we cut off all male penises in society to prevent the singular mentally ill person from raping someone? That's, of course, totally absurd.
