Off putting or not, he brings up some fair points. No one can be dogmatic about what people were thinking 3000 years ago, in a culture vastly different than ours. At best, all we can do is interpret limited data into a fuzzy approximation of understanding. Don’t turn off your brain because someone didn’t phrase something politely enough for your taste. It’s just information that adds to a better understanding.
