If I were to believe the vapid rhetoric, spin, and outright lies propagated in the media by the 2024 political machine, I would be led to believe every Republican was a Fascist and every Democrat a Marxist. In the US, we no doubt exist within a psychosis of two realities with wildly different interpretations of the same political events. The difference between you and me is that I know this. How do you vote when both parties try to manipulate voters by claiming it's the end of America as you know it if you don't vote for them? Someone is lying.

People aren't all good or all bad. Certainly, you can acknowledge that every president who has held office has done good things and had some failures during their presidency, including Trump and Biden. And, please tell me you didn't develop your opinions and ideologies from a Millie/Woodward tell-all book.

I am undecided because neither candidate comes close to meeting the values necessary for the most powerful office in the world. At face value, Kamala is a super nice, relatable lady one-on-one and probably a pleasant hang. She is smart but can't finish a coherent thought, has no policy plan she can explain, and will likely get tossed around when dealing with hostile foreign governments, as happens during her tough media interviews. She supports killing unborn babies for the "convenience of the mother." That's no small detail and certainly not a value I hold. Their border policies are a disaster, which is why they are trying to fix it now, only 3 1/2 years too late. I could go on. The average American on the street can't name one major policy the Biden/Harris team has put forth except allowing illegal immigrants to pour through the border without due process. For the record, Biden/Harris did accomplish some good things that people aren't aware of.

Trump, on the other hand, is a braggadocious megalomaniac who is using the frustrations of the American people in divisive times to cement his narcissistic legacy. We all know his character flaws. We already know what we will get with him in office from his first term--a trail of political wreckage, more tell-all books, name-calling, and threats, with a few good policies thrown in, like negotiating better tariff deals. Love him or hate him, you never wonder what he is thinking because he foolishly says every thought he has.

I'll step out on a ledge here, but Harris and Trump may be the two worst presidential choices I have experienced in my 40 years of political awareness. Voting for the presidential candidate who will cause the least destruction to our American experiment is not ideal. And the 2024 political spin machine is 1984.

I'm willing to go blow-by-blow down your list of issues if you want to go there.
